    Join Retzer Nature Center for a day of learning and outdoor fun during our Natural Landscape Volunteer Saturdays. Throughout the sessions you will help with various projects such as: collecting and cleaning plant seeds, controlling invasive species and planting native plants. Yo will work alongside talented naturalists who will answer your questions and help you through the day’s activity. All ages and experience levels welcome, however, we do ask that participants come dressed to enjoy the day outside and be able to walk along unpaved trails. We can’t wait to meet you!

    TIME: 1-3 pm

    AGE: Adults and Teens 16+ Fee: $30.00 (includes journal and sketching tools for class)

    REGISTER BY: Monday, June 6,

    Maximum number of registrants 15, minimum 5

    This 2-day class will explore our outer world and develop self-expression skills on paper through art journaling and sketching. With a drawing tool and journal in hand, participants will explore Retzer’s landscape and discover their unique way of seeing it. Supplies and basic instruction on outdoors sketching techniques will be provided. Individual expression will be encouraged in all exercise. Class meets indoors if raining.

    Class 1: Field Sketching: Basic drawing skills, drawing wild subjects   Class 2:  Field Sketching: Beyond the Basic – color, layout and perspective.
