Winter Dog Walking Trails
Hiking is not allowed on cross country ski trails during winter months.  All of the Waukesha County Parks (sorry, dogs are not allowed on Retzer Nature Center grounds) have dog walking trails, as well as the Recreational Trails. These trails are designated during the winter months to keep the groomed trails in the best condition possible. Follow the signs and stay on the designated trails.
Please be courteous to others and:
     Pick up after your dog(s)
Keep your dog(s) leashed (6' maximum leash length)

Minooka Park - Dog Exercise Area
In October 2007 Minooka Park opened two fenced, off-leash dog exercise areas. The small breed area is 3.8 acres and the large breed area is 11.9 acres. They will be open year round. Map of Dog Exercise Area

Snowshoe Trails
There are no specific snowshoe trails.  We ask that all snowshoers refrain from using the groomed ski trails, so we can keep them in the best condition possible. Please follow the signs.

Snowshoes are available to rent at Retzer Nature Center for:
$9.00 all day
$5.50 half day
