The Waukesha County Sheriff's Department and IT staff will provide an invaluable lesson on safeguarding yourself online and steering clear of scams.

Free Cyber Security Training


On Saturday, April 27th from 1230-230pm, the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department will host a free cyber security training event. 

Presenting the training will be members from our Waukesha County IT Department. The topics to be discussed will include Passwords, Software Updates, Phishing, Wi-Fi, Data Backups, Safe Browsing Habits, Common Misconceptions of Social media, and QR codes.

Waukesha County Department of Public Works will take over maintenance of Silvernail Rd. from the City of Waukesha to improve airport runway safety.

New County Road Project on Silvernail Road


Friday, March 29th, 2024, Waukesha County Department of Public Works announced in a news release, they have taken over maintenance of Silvernail Road within the city between Grandview Blvd (CTH T) and Bluemound Road (CTH JJ) from the city to the county. The jurisdictional transfer change took place on February 26th, 2024, and will have no direct impact on surrounding properties.

“Waukesha County is undertaking a project to realign Silvernail Road, which when complete, will improve Airport runway safety. The county appreciates our relationship with the city and working together to implement improved airport safety.” ---Allison Bussler, Waukesha County Public Works Director.

Public Health Calls for Unified Action to Address Community Health Priorities.

Public Health Kicks Off New Community Health Plan


Thursday, March 14th, 2024, Waukesha County Public Health announced they are rallying community members and local stakeholders together to tackle pressing health challenges in the region.

This moment marks a pivotal milestone as the Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) enters its third year out of a five-year collaborative process, actively addressing critical health priorities identified in Waukesha County.

Three strategic health priorities have been identified to guide the CHIP initiative, and each priority area is accompanied by actionable plans designed for measurable impact: Healthy Aging, Mental Health and Substance Use.

March 7, 2024 Waukesha County Public Health announced it has been selected by the Alzheimer’s Association and the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) for the Healthy Brain Initiative (HBI) Road Map Strategists grant.

County Launches Website Navigation Study


Waukesha County is in the process of creating a brand new County website. The upgrades to www.waukeshacounty.gov they're seeking, will not only organize content better, but also provide a more user-friendly experience for those seeking information.

The "Website Navigation Study" takes 10-15 minutes and will provide valuable insight to the Website Redesign team. The study will be open for 2 weeks.
